Engineering firm and equipment manufacturer Ag Growth International (AGI) announced plans to acquire software and hardware provider IntelliFarms LLC, expanding the firm’s offerings of grain-related digital technologies.

Established in 2001 in Archie, MO, IntelliFarms produces digital solutions that assist grain growers and processors and other agricultural stakeholders.

“IntelliFarms has achieved its success through a combination of expertise in sensor technology, embedded electronics, Internet of Things (IoT) infrastructure, and credibility with farmers,” the company said in a press release announcing the acquisition. “AGI is proud to welcome Todd Sears, Adam Weiss, and the entire IntelliFarms team to the AGI family.”

The firm’s SureTrack PRO system, released in 2018, helps processors source quality grains according to their specifications. IntelliFarms’ BinManager is a grain storage management solution that includes the use of sensors, cables, and controls that assist operators in maintaining ideal storage conditions. SureTrack Farm provides farmers with a centralized portal to access seed trait data, and field management and bin management tools.

IntelliFarms brought in sales totaling $11 million during the year that ended on Dec. 31, 2018.
