ADM Appoints New President of Animal Nutrition
February 22, 2018
American agribusiness Archer Daniels Midland (ADM) has appointed Samson Li as the new president of its Animal Nutrition business, a company press release announced Tuesday.
“Animal Nutrition represents an important growth platform for ADM, and we are pleased to have Samson on board to lead this effort,” the president of ADM’s corn processing business, Chris Cuddy, said in a statement.
The incoming president occupied the role of managing director of ADM’s Asian business unit and served as a member of Nutreco’s executive committee, overseeing that firm’s efforts to expand its animal and fish feed business in Asia.
“In recent years, we’ve invested to improve our North American facilities; expand our footprint in Asia; and move into the pet treats and aquaculture feed industries. I look forward to working with Samson as we capitalize on our expanding product portfolio of feed additives, supplements, premixes, custom ingredient blends, and specialty feed ingredients.”
Li earned a bachelor’s degree in chemistry and an MBA from the Chinese University of Hong Kong. ADM did not specify when Li would assume his role in the release.
