Oldcastle APG to Open $25M Manufacturing Plant

American outdoor living and building materials firm Oldcastle APG plans to open its fourth manufacturing facility in the state of South Carolina to meet increased demand in the US, the South Carolina Department of Commerce announced in a release this month. The company is investing $25 million to build the plant in Ridgeway, SC.  

“As business continues to expand for Oldcastle APG around the globe and particularly the Southeast, we are prepared to meet customer demand with strategic investments in our manufacturing facilities,” said the firm’s president, Tim Ortman, in a statement. “As the leading provider of outdoor living and building materials in our industry, we look forward to strengthening our footprint with a fourth manufacturing facility in South Carolina.

The company’s portfolio includes Sakrete concrete mixes, MoistureShield lawn and garden and composite decking, Belgard hardscapes, and Amerimix mortars.

100 new jobs are expected to be created as a result of Oldcastle APG’s expansion. Work on the site is slated to reach completion in September 2021.
