SXE Vibratory Screeners for Problematic Separation

May 11, 2012

Virto/Elcan Industries offers the SXE line of vibratory screeners for separation of problematic wet and dry materials. Main applications include safety screening and sizing classification of difficult-to-screen materials, typically in the range between 20 and 500 microns. The screeners have single or double-deck design and come in 2-, 3-, and 4-ft diam.

SXE Screeners operate in multifrequency vibratory-impact modes. These screeners provide uninterrupted self cleaning of the meshes, fluidization of powder, and de-agglomeration of powder clusters. This results in higher screening capacity, better separation, and more undersize yield, especially when compared to traditional and ultrasonic screeners.

Virto/Elcan units are designed for use with non-tensioned working meshes. The screeners offer simple, cost-saving on-site sieve replacement using pieces of nylon, polyester, or stainless steel meshes which simply cut-off from a roll. This feature eliminates the costs and problems that are usually associated with re-tensioning of conventional and ultrasonic fine screens.

Virto/Elcan systems are simple, easy-to-use, rugged mechanical devices that provide low-cost maintenance and yield improvements. Unlike ultrasonic or conventional separators, the screeners do not contain electronic or pneumatic parts. The patented powerful de-blinding system is completely mechanical and is activated from the vibratory motors.
