The new AquaLab TDL water activity meter looks like an AquaLab 4TE, but it has powerful new technology under its hood. The chilled mirror sensor has been replaced by a tunable diode laser, focused on the precise wavelength of water vapor. Unlike chilled mirror and capacitance sensors, the laser is not affected by volatiles. It is also a more accurate, faster, and more reliable water activity sensor, with a fully sealed chamber and no moving parts.
