Ultrasonic LLC has partnered with Toefco Engineered Coating Systems Inc. to offer impact- and chemical-resistant coatings for tanks and baskets.
Chemical-resistant coatings, such as Halar, PFA, Tefzel, Kynar, and PTFE, are ideal for processes that require aggressive acids to attain optimal cleaning because they allows longer service life over uncoated baskets and tanks. Delicate parts that are prone to surface blemishes can benefit from lining baskets with these materials, as they provides a softer surface to prevent scratches during loading and unloading. Payback on delicate components, which can be determined in reduction of scrap rate or re-work costs of delicate parts once basket lining has occurred, can be rapid.
