Flexco recently introduced the FMS Medium-Duty Secondary Cleaner to its complete line of belt cleaning products. Made with heavy-duty steel with a corrosion-resistant powder coating, the FMS is ideal for use on mining conveyors with belt speeds up to 1000 ft/min. It can be used for belt widths ranging from 18 to 72 in., with additional sizes available upon request.

The thin hard edges of the 6-in.-wide metal blades deliver high cleaning efficiency and long wear life, while the spring tensioner ensures that there is consistent blade-to-belt interaction and constant pressure on the belt.  

Impact-resistant C-Tip tungsten carbide blades are available for use with Flexco mechanical splices.

“The spring cushion allows the C-tips to move away from a passing splice without damage and with minimal cleaning disruption,” said Ryan Grevenstuk, senior product manager for Flexco. “V-tips, for use with vulcanized belts, are also available on the FMS.”

When combined with the MSP Standard Mine-Duty Precleaner and or the MMP Medium Mine-Duty Precleaner, the system provides optimal cleaning for tough applications.
