Horizon Systems Names New Director of Food Safety Engineering

Horizon Systems announces that Tom Guenther has accepted the position of director of food safety engineering.

Guenther brings more than 30 years of experience in engineering design and project management in the food industry to the position. Most recently he has been with MOM Brands, where he held positions as design coordinator, project manager and corporate engineer.

During his time at MOM, he spearheaded the implementation of design standards, and became authority for sanitary design leadership and guidance.

Guenther graduated from Winona Area Technical College in 1977, and holds Lean Six Sigma Green Belt business and technical certifications. His primary role will be to lead Horizon through the critical food safety initiative in the food and pet food industries.

Since 1983, Horizon Systems has delivered engineering system solutions. Its pneumatic conveying components meet the process line requirements for bulk product storage, transfer, weighing, blending, safety, or product integrity.
