The Donning Co. Publishers, Virginia Beach, VA, has released a new volume in the history of manufacturing: Gardner Denver, Inc: 150 Years of Industrial Innovation.

Robert Gardner began his career at the time of the Lincoln-Douglas debate in his hometown of Quincy, IL, in 1858. He started the company in the infancy of the Industrial Revolution. The company has since weathered world wars, economic depressions, and natural disasters. Gardner Denver’s global position in the market it serves is stronger than ever, and this book follows the growth of not only the company, but the people, local and global community.
