Atlas Copco will showcase the GA VSD+ range of oil-injected rotary screw compressors and the ZS+ VSD series of oil-free screw blowers at the 2014 Powder Show, May 6-8 at the Donald E. Stephens Convention Center in Rosemont, IL.

The Atlas Copco exhibit will be located at booth No. 1445. Products on display include the new 7-37 kW (10-50 hp) GA VSD+ range, introduced in 2013. The GA VSD+ features a design that reduces energy consumption by up to 50 percent, compared to a traditional load/unload compressor of the same type, and allows for a compact footprint and low noise levels.
       
Atlas Copco’s ZS+ VSD series of oil-free screw blowers will also be on display. The ZS+ VSD reduces energy consumption by up to 30 percent, compared to traditional lobe technology, and is certified according to ISO 8573-1 CLASS 0 (2010) standards to provide 100 percent oil-free air, eliminating the risk of oil contamination within the manufacturing infrastructure.
        
“Both the GA VSD+ and the ZS+ series are representative of Atlas Copco’s drive for innovation and feature the latest technology to increase energy efficiency significantly,” said Erik Arfalk, vice president communications and branding, Atlas Copco Compressors. “With the constant rise in energy costs, manufacturers need to make energy savings a top priority to remain competitive. The GA VSD+, for example, can save customers more than $10,000 per year based on just one 15-hp machine.”
       
Representatives will be available at booth No. 1445 from 10 am to 5 pm on May 6-7, and 10 am to 4 pm on May 8.
