DuPont Names Granger to Lead Government Marketing and Affairs

May 19, 2009
DuPont has named Barry M. Granger as vice president and general manager of Government Marketing and Government Affairs, effective July 1. Building on the company’s 207-year history of serving the U.S. government, Granger will be responsible for accelerating business growth in the public sector, with a focus on the U.S. economic stimulus package and other policy programs. In addition, he will continue forging the strong relationship with government leaders and the company.

“Through our science and innovation capabilities, DuPont offers many solutions that address the nation’s challenges during this transformational period,” said Linda J. Fisher, DuPont vice president and chief sustainability officer. “Barry will be instrumental in understanding the federal government’s emerging needs and how DuPont can meet those needs with our innovations. Barry’s broad business and marketing experiences provide a solid foundation in leading our government marketing strategy and execution and government affairs organization.”

Granger, 49, currently vice president and general manager for DuPont Nonwovens, has served in a number of business and marketing leadership assignments since joining the company in 1987. Following several strategic marketing roles, Granger was appointed in 2002 as vice president and general manager of DuPont Imaging Technologies, which includes governments among its customers. In 2007, he was named vice president and general manager for Nonwovens, which provides selective barrier materials to global markets including the U.S. government. His successor will be named later. Granger will relocate from Wilmington, DE to Washington, D.C.
