The 3DLevelScanner uses non-contact, dust penetrating technology to create a visual map of the material surface in storage and process bins. It measures the material surface at multiple points to accurately calculate the volume and mass, even in conditions where the material surface is highly irregular such as bins with multiple filling sites, large bins, or for materials that tend to pile, clump, or stick to the side of the bin. It is ideal for non-contact situations such as foods or pharmaceuticals, as the measurement device never touches the material. The unit can work in small to very large bins – measuring bins up to 200 ft tall and 150 ft wide – and can also measure materials in pits, open bins, bulk storage rooms, and warehouses.
“The 3DLevelScanner by APM provides BinMaster’s customers with a unique alternative when challenged by high dust environments or in situations where the topography of the material in the bin is highly irregular,” said Todd Peterson, BinMaster’s vice president of sales. “BinMaster offers diverse level measurement solutions for the process industry. APM’s dust-penetrating technology profiles the surface the product inside the bin, ensuring highly accurate reporting for customers dealing with the toughest, dustiest, or most sensitive inventory management problems that other technologies have not been able to solve.”
Ofir Perl, APM’s CEO said, “BinMaster is an outstanding brand and the company has excelled in marketing, sales, and support for the level controls industry for more than 40 years. Combining BinMaster’s vast experience and infrastructure with APM’s proprietary technology enables the two companies to solve the most challenging applications presented in powder and bulk solids measurement today. By offering unique solutions for all types of bins and materials, 3DLevelScanner will become an industry standard in the U.S. and Canada.”
