Responding to recent changes in consumer behavior toward purchasing food products made with natural ingredients or that offer convenicence, Kellogg Company is introducing more than 50 new products, the Battle Creek, MI company announced Tuesday.
“We know that people are looking for a variety of things when they choose food for themselves and for their families. They want food that is fun and exciting, wholesome and nutritious, convenient and, of course, delicious,” president of Kellogg North America Paul Norman said in a statement. “We are passionate about delivering products that meet a wide range of needs.”
Many of the products include natural flavors and colors, including Kellogg’s Disney Princess cereal and snacks like Special K Nourish Bites and Multi-Grain Bakery Delights crumb cakes, the company said. Eggo’s frozen breakfast products will now be produced with natural flavors and colors.
Dunkin’ Donuts partnered with Kellogg Co. to produce a coffee-flavored variety of Pop-Tarts. Several children’s film-themed cereals will be released, like the Kellogg’s Despicable Me and Kellogg’s Disney Moana cereals. A number of new snacks premiered, many featuring premium ingredients and natural ingredients.
The company also released a number of frozen NorningStar Farms Veggie Bowls, offering options like Tikka Masala, Italian Veggie Bake, and Japanese Soba Noodles.
The new products will appear on American grocery store shelves this January.
