Architectural masonry and concrete aggregate products firm Jewell recently celebrated the opening its new, 23,000-sq-ft manufacturing plant for mortar and concrete products in Burnet, TX and said the facility will commence operations by the end of the month, a company press release announced Friday.
Serving the residential and commercial sectors, Jewell’s new plant will produce products from the firm’s Sakrete, Techniseal, and Amerimix brands.
“This new, strategic investment in Oldcastle APG/Jewell manufacturing is the latest example of our sustained commitment to masonry and the concrete dry mix industry,” Tom Ortman, president of Old Castle APG, the parent company of Jewell, said in a statement. “The new facility will help support and grow our Sakrete, Amerimix, and Techniseal brands, making them available on a wider scale and fuel contained growth in key markets.”
The company said the investment is notable because few concrete dry mix plants have been constructed in recent years.
