Four workers were burned in an incident Monday afternoon at a Tyson Fresh Meats processing plant in Perry, IA, several local news organizations reported.
The incident occurred at 11:40 a.m., with two of the workers receiving severe burns, Dallas County Police Chief Deputy Adam Infante told the Des Moines Register. They were later transported by helicopter to a burn unit in Iowa City. Two others were found to have minor burns.
Infante told the newspaper that steam appears to have been the cause of the injuries, and that no fire was reported at the site.
