The Model 600NW net weigh scale combines a robust design with increased accuracy and high-speed operation. The unit is available in simplex or duplex configurations and can support automatic bagging when combined with a FFS machine or manual bagging on bag-hanging chutes. Simplex speeds on the base model in excess of 20 bpm and duplex speeds in excess of 40 bpm are possible. Gravity, belt, vibratory, gravity/vibratory, and other feeder types are available.

Powder Batching System
With many powder and bulk products, being able to consistently produce the same results every time is a necessity. This batching system uses DPF dosing feeders to achieve repeatability at high accuracy. The system pictured was designed to dispense a powdered pigment formula with an accuracy of 0.5 grams at high speed. The system had to be able to dispense up to a 5-lb batch at the 0.5-g accuracy, mix the powder ingredients with water, and transfer the material to the larger batching tank of concrete within five minutes. Dosing feeders can be used for high accuracy in packaging and screening applications as well.

Manual Dump to Rigid-Bin Weigh-Batching System
This system eliminates dust during manual dumping from bags, boxes, drums, and other containers, delumps the material, and feeds it gravimetrically from mezzanine level into rigid bins placed on a floor scale. It features a high-velocity vacuum fan that draws airborne dust from the operator’s atmosphere onto two cartridge filters. Automatic reverse-pulse filter cleaning allows continuous, efficient operation. Timer-activated solenoid valves release short blasts of compressed plant air inside cartridge filters, causing dust buildup on the outer filter surfaces to fall into the hopper. The unit’s surge hopper discharges into a low-profile delumping device with dual rotors and three-point heads that break up agglomerates that have formed in the bag. On-size material is discharged into a gravimetric feeder that is connected via PLC to a scale on the plant floor, allowing accurate batch weights to be loaded into rigid totes placed on the scale.

The Model 403B(D) Batch/Dump Weighing System consists of a hopper for dry solids integrally mounted onto an overhead-type weighing (scale) system, specifically designed for reliable and accurate batch-weighing applications. For dry solids applications, product is typically fed into the scale-mounted hopper (weigh hopper) by a volumetric feeder. When it is required to batch-weigh more than one product in a single weigh hopper, each material is individually (sequentially) batched, since only one ingredient can be batch-weighed at a time.
