The Model SFI and Model SFD-2 solids flow detectors provide analog or relay outputs to indicate the flow/no-flow condition of powders and bulk solid materials in processes from automated systems with pneumatic lines to gravity chutes and feeders. These units use microwave Doppler radar technology for better reliability. They can assist in detecting flow and plugged chute problems, as well as, enhance the level of automation at a facility like turning a conveyor on or off. Solids flow detectors can be used in a variety of application materials including dry chemicals, plastic pellets, detergents, grains, and more. An assortment of options makes these units even more versatile. For instance, stainless steel mounting adapters with a choice of process seals are available. Also, the optional saddle coupling provides a means of mounting the transceiver without welding a coupling to the process line.
