Stainless-Steel Butterfly Valve
This inflatable seated butterfly valve features a highly polished 316 stainless-steel housing and disc. It is suitable for many applications, such as food, chemical, and pharmaceutical manufacturing and is available in standard sizes from 2 to 30 in. Its
inflatable-seat design provides a better seal by utilizing air pressure to expand the seat against the disc, providing more sealing area and an even pressure distribution against the disc every time. The seat automatically compensates for wear when it inflates against the disc, extending valve life.

Divert Valve
This valve features precise tolerances, in-line cleaning, tool-free disassembly, and air-controlled operation. Its design allows you to easily divert pneumatically conveyed materials to bulk storage bins, scale hoppers, process hoppers, etc. A rotating assembly inside the valve determines if air and material pass straight through or are diverted. In the nondivert position, a rotating assembly inside the valve is turned so air and material pass straight through completely unrestricted. In the divert position, the rotating assembly is turned so air and material entering the valve are directed downwards by the diversion paddle. Cast-iron, aluminum, and stainless-steel models are available.

Heavy-Duty Airlocks

Company offers a new heavy-duty shaft-seal design for its PAV-series (heavy-duty) airlocks that differs significantly from the standard seal design. New abrasion-resistant packing rings provide additional wear resistance against abrasive powders and a more form-fitting, positive seal around the shaft where smoother shaft finishes reduce cutting action on the packing rings. Additional packing rings are included for sealing against higher internal valve pressures. Tighter tolerances provide better support for the packing and throttle air leakage from within the valve. Manually adjusted packing glands, capable of additional pressure, replace self-adjusting packing glands.

Barge Unloading with Slide Gates

A North American company is using the modulating slide gate (MSG) and rolling slide gate with packing (RSP) to load Portland cement into barges. The cement weighs approximately 80–85 pcf and the flow rate is 850 tons per hour. These particular units have a 12 × 12-in. opening and are operated hydraulically. They are constructed of carbon steel channel, angle, and plate with all welding per AWS standards. Each opening is formed with welded plate and a structural angle and includes a 2-in.-high × ¼-in.-thick throat. The gate frame includes a top dust cover and product deflector for a product level sensor (not included). Each blade is made from ¼-in.-thick A-36 steel plate.

Bubble-Tight Spherical Valve

The Roto-Flate spherical valve employs an inflatable bladder for bubble-tight (Class VI) sealing from full vacuum to 100 psig. The design stops abrasive wear before it can begin. Unlike other inflatable-seal valves, neither the seal nor the dome is exposed to the product flow, giving the valve long service life. It is ideal for use in vacuum dryers and dense-phase pneumatic conveying, filling, and discharging reactors—any application where significant pressure differentials must be contained. A wide variety of construction materials is available for corrosive environments. Heavy-Duty Rotary Valve

The heavy-duty (HD) Aerolock rotary valve is engineered for metering dry bulk particulates. Airlock and Rotary Valve Seal
