Double Flapgate Airlock Valves
These double flapgate airlock valves are engineered and manufactured for extreme operating environments or highly abrasive materials. They are specifically designed to control the rate of material flow through a system and at the same time prevent air leakage by isolating the processing system’s pressures. They can be designed to seal completely with pressure differentials up to 20 psi, are built for heavy-duty service, are highly resistant to abrasive materials, feature long bearing and shaft life for fewer system shutdowns, and have access covers to simplify inspection and maintenance. They are available in models able to operate in temperatures up to 1650°F.

Bulk Material Valve
The patented bulk material valve was designed for dense- and dilute-phase pneumatic conveying systems for transporter fill valve, discharge, vent applications, transfer lines, under baghouses, silos, and dust collectors. The valve is designed to operate in process temperatures up to 550°F and pressures from vacuum to 100 psi. The live-loaded outside stuffing box allows for changing or adding packing without taking the valve out of the line. The valve is available in sizes from 2 to 14 in. and in cast-iron and carbon steel. Cast-iron valves from 2 to 8 in. are available from stock.

The Britton Procol rotary valve is engineered to transfer dry granular solids and powders in gravity, pressure, or vacuum systems. The standard model is a heavy-duty cast design with stiffening ribs to prevent distortion and includes integral shear planes in the valve inlet to reduce product shearing loads. The rotor includes a heavy-duty shaft to withstand high differential pressures. Rotor designs include open-end fixed blade, closed-end fixed blade, adjustable tipped blades, reduced pocket, and scalloped pocket. Rotors are supported in sealed ball bearings outrigged from the valve end plates to prevent contamination. Other models available include a blow-through type and special-designed fabrications.

Inflatable Seated Butterfly Valve
This inflatable seated butterfly valve is ideally suited for abrasive materials such as sand, feldspar, fly ash, and most other dry, granular materials that reduce valve life. The inflatable seat design provides a better seal by utilizing air pressure to expand the seat against the disk, which provides more sealing area and an even pressure distribution against the disk every time. The seat automatically compensates for wear when it inflates against the disk, extending valve life considerably. Standard sizes range from 2 to 30 in. The valves are available in a wide variety of construction materials including stainless steel and lightweight aluminum.

Side-Entry Rotary Airlock Valve
This side-entry rotary airlock valve is used in applications where product shearing is a concern. The valve name derives from the offset inlet and outlet flanges, where the product enters the side of the rotor instead of the top. On a normal valve, shearing takes place as the rotor rotates into the housing. When these two straight edges meet on a typical drop-thru rotary airlock, this provides a pinch area where the product can shear or jam. With the side-entry rotary airlock, the product is caught on the upswing of the rotor blades so that the product is constantly falling away from the shear point. The rotor pockets also do not fill up completely, which additionally reduces the likelihood of shearing. Lastly, the throat has a V shape that helps push product out of the way. Sizes from 6 to 20 in. are available.

The MSRP series Parallel Bore rotary airlock is designed so the maximum number of blades remain in contact with the body at one time without affecting throughput. A substantial throat opening at the valve entry allows high pocket filling efficiency. There is minimum clearance at the rotor tips and the sides with the body. Robust body construction prevents distortion. Sizes range from 6 to 16 in. with square or round flange patterns. This valve is suitable for operation up to 750°F and conveying pressures of 20 psi.
