Screw Discharge Ribbon Blender
Ribbon blenders are most often used for dry and fluid blending applications in the chemical, food, pharmaceutical, and plastics industries. The new Model 42NSD ribbon blender features a discharge screw positioned across the entire length of the trough. The screw is powered by a separate direct-drive system for independent speed control. The discharge/extruder assembly is designed with close tolerances between the screw and the trough. This provides a positive flow and discharge force, enabling the use of an extrusion die when the blender is being used for pasty materials. The screw runs forward during the discharge cycle and in reverse towards the driven end during the blending cycle.

Powder Induction and Dispersion System
This model of the Fastfeed line is designed to double inline powder delivery capabilities, offering controlled feed rates from 3 to 400 lb/min. The system provides consistent powder delivery even as viscosity and solids levels increase, ensuring that the system will never plug or foul. The Fastfeed allows further processors to add dry ingredients to mix vessels in a more ergonomic fashion, reducing operator injuries and providing the shear required for today’s changing and tougher ingredients.
