Bulk Bag and Drum Filler
This combination bulk bag and drum filler features a fill head that pivots down for connecting empty bags at floor level and a swing-arm-mounted chute for filling drums. The unit’s swing-down fill head enables the operator to connect bag spouts and resume filling operations rapidly, eliminating the need to step over roller conveyors, strain to reach overhead connection points, or risk injury associated with conventional bulk bag fillers. The device simultaneously lowers and pivots the fill head, stopping it in a vertical position that places the bag-inlet spout inflatable connection, inflator button, and four bag loop-latches within arm’s length of an operator. This increases the safety and speed of connecting bulk bags, since the connection points of a conventional filler are beyond the reach of most operators.

Stainless-Steel Vibrating Bin Discharger
This vibrating bin discharger is designed to comply with USDA guidelines for the sanitary construction of dairy processing equipment. To satisfy these specifications, interior surfaces are ground and polished to a maximum Ra of 32 µin. Exterior surfaces can include epoxy-coated carbon steel or solid stainless-steel that is glass-bead blasted for a uniform appearance. All flexible connectors have been tested to comply with 3A’s Standard 18-03 specification. The discharger eliminates hopper flow problems, including bridging and ratholing, by using vibratory action to promote the flow of product from storage.

Plastic Pails
Open-head HDPE pails range in size from 1 to 6½ gal. Typical applications are for containing a wide variety of products, including paints, foods, construction supplies, lubricants, specialty chemicals, swimming-pool chemicals, and pet-care products. Bulk Container
The P-433 ship-shape bulk container features a design that permits convenient, four-way lift truck access in a palletless, reusable container. With four-way access, the container enables lift-truck drivers to locate fork access points quickly without using their forks to rotate the containers or requiring workers to position the containers manually. Developed to streamline global, over-the-road, and in-plant transport and storage, the container permits lifting, loading, and unloading to move with greater efficiency throughout the entire distribution system. Suspended Belt Magnets
Suspended belt magnets are designed for suspension above a belt conveyor and are engineered to remove ferrous contaminants from high-volume deep burdens. As product passes under the magnet, metal contaminants are drawn out of the material to the face of the magnet. This style of magnet should be installed at the discharge of the head pulley.Material flows more freely and can be thrown into the face of the magnet, thereby increasing the separation results over an installation where the magnet is suspended over a troughed belt. This can be supplied with a wiper arm or stripper plate to simplify cleaning. For automated continuous cleaning, a cleaning option can be selected which incorporates a set of pulleys; belt; motor; and a reducer that travel around the magnet discharging metal contaminants automatically. Suspended belt magnets can be installed in an in-line or cross-belt configuration.

Dusting and Tackified Wipes
This manufacturer of wiping products offers a line of dusting and tackified wipes for cleaning up powder. DA wipes (dust attracting cloths) electrostatically attract dust, are 24 × 10 in., and are available in quantities of 25 per bag. YTD wipes (yellow-treated dust cloths) pick up dust because they are lightly treated with a mineral oil. YTD wipes are 24 × 12 in. and are available in quantities of 50 per bag. Tackified wipes are antistatic and contain no silicones or solvents. Various types of sizes and fabric are available, as well as a variety of tack levels. They are ideal for both heavy and light dust, as well as for the powder processing industry. Two types of tackified wipes are available: TW-8 light-tack wipes and TW-5 medium-tack wipes. Container Loading System
Fast filling of sea and land containers with maximum payload is possible with the SwallowTail container loading system. This high-capacity system uses TransFlow stinger technology and is designed for loading pigments and other difficult-to-handle materials. The two types of loaders offered are the stationary and portable designs. Both are used to fill 20-, 30-, and 40-ft-long lined sea and land containers at filling rates of 40,000 lb/hr or more.

Grate Magnets
Rota-grates feature a rotating design to remove both large and small ferrous contaminants that tend to stick, clog, and bridge when passed through flat grate magnets. They are highly efficient on many finely ground cohesive materials such as gypsum, barium carbonate, fuller’s earth, lime, cohesive chemicals, confectionary sugar, cornstarch, cocoa, flour, wood flour, and fibrous materials. Miniature Turbine Vibrator
The CVT-P-1 miniature turbine vibrator complements the acetal body (CVT-P-10) and the stainless-steel body (CVT-S-10) models. Similar in design to the CVT-P-10, the smaller CVT-P-1 features the same combination of an acetal plastic body, stainless-steel exposed components, and laser-etched labeling. Compact design and material selection offer new options to provide vibration in the most demanding applications. It uses permanently lubricated bearings and no lubricated air is required. It starts and operates from 2 to 80 psi, with air consumption of 1.4 cu ft/min or less at 80 psi. The vibrator is easily controlled with a simple hand valve or two-way solenoid valve and a regulator. With a maximum force output of 25 lb, the unit is ideal for use with powder filling machines, as flow aids on small hoppers, or to vibrate tablets during packaging.

Bulk Bag Filling System
This filling system is designed for class I, division II, group D, explosion-proof service. The system includes Type 316L stainless-steel product contact surfaces, power-lift fill head height adjustment system, stainless-steel loading deck, a bag-present sensor, and a fully integrated bag-inflation package. A dust-tight inflatable spout seal, washdown-duty weigh modules, and a digital weight indicator ensure precise, dust-free material filling. Controls are housed in a pressurized NEMA enclosure. Telescopic Chute
Chute construction can be in any number of sections, diameters, and lengths based upon individual requirements. Sections are rolled with exacting fabrication practices to insure concentricity. Heavy rings reinforce both ends of each section for optimum structural integrity. A remote-mounted grooved drum power winch features an electrically released, mechanically applied brake. An integral winch design may be used for a more compact loading chute. An adjustable geared switch limits both extremes of chute travel. An additional limit switch may be provided as a redundant means of control at the upper extreme of travel for added safety.

Large Tube Magnetic Drawer-in-Housing
The LTH (Large Tube Housing) increases product purity in challenging processing applications where sticking, galling, and product bridging is prevalent, such as with spices, powders, flour, starches, or pet food. It incorporates the strong 3-in.-diam. rare earth magnetic circuit used in the company’s pneumatic inline bullet magnets into a housing for gravity and free-flow applications. The LTH maintains product flow rates by reducing product buildup and the associated downtime involved in cleaning the magnets. It also improves upon the current practice of spacing grate/tube magnets further apart to maintain processing flow rates, which can be a dangerous application that can result in a product of questionable purity.

Heavy-Duty Feeders
BEST Model TMF twin-motor vibrating pan and grizzly feeders are designed to smoothly convey products. Flow of material is adjustable and the flow rate can be variable or fixed. Heavy-duty vibratory feeders can be designed with above-, below-, or side-mounted drives. Feeders can be arranged for base mounting or overhead suspension. Counterrotating motors provide a push-pull action, creating linear, straight-line motion that requires no belts, no springs to tune, and no air gaps to adjust. As the motors counterrotate, side forces cancel out and linear forces are combined. Conveyance action is quiet and positive. Static Dissipative Hose
The medium-weight Flx-Thane SD hose is a static dissipative polyurethane hose that prevents static buildup. It is suitable for dry material transfer applications where dust could pose a safety hazard. It has a smooth interior for efficient material flow, features a surface resistance that prevents static charges from building up, and has a bronze-coated spring steel-wire helix that drains charges to the ground. Heavy-Duty Weigh Belt Feeders
High-capacity, heavy-duty Models MH and MDH weigh belt feeders are capable of accurately measuring and controlling feed rates of up to 3000 tn/hr. Originally designed for the cement and steel industries, these models feed materials such as limestone, mill scale, dolomite, iron ore pellets, fluorspar, and coke. The feeders were designed to withstand harsh environmental factors, such as abrasive dusts, corrosive fumes, wide temperature fluctuations, and vibrations. Weighing is done through a patented low-deflection, nonwearing, force measurement suspension system weight-sensing scale. The design makes the scale less susceptible to damage, is out of the way for cleaning, and is not prone to tare buildup because material cannot fall onto the scale.

Dewatering-Drying System
This system consists of a circular vibratory screener integrated with a circular fluid bed dryer to remove oversize and undersize particles, while dewatering and drying on-size material. The screener, a 30-in.-diam vibroscreen Model K30-2-SS, together with a 40-in.-diam Model K40/48-1FBD-SS dryer, removes up to 50 gal of water per minute and dries up to 700 lb of on-size particles per hour. The screener has an imbalanced-weight gyratory motor that vibrates the screening chamber. Oversize particles travel in controlled spiral pathways to a spout at the screen’s periphery where they are discharged for reprocessing. On-size dewatered pellets fall onto the lower screen and travel in controlled spiral pathways to an extended spout at the screen’s periphery that leads to the fluid bed dryer. Undersize fines and water pass through a third spout for reprocessing.
