To eliminate the trade-off between effective magnet coverage and potential product “choking,” MPI developed the Reciprocating Drawer Magnet (RDM). The RDM features reciprocating tube magnets that act as knives to break up the product as it flows through the tubes, allowing it to travel freely through the drawer magnet. Continuous horizontal movement of the magnetic tubes eliminates product choking without the need to increase distance between the magnets. The reciprocating action of the RDM series drawer magnet improves the unit’s ability to capture unwanted metals, resulting in greater magnetic filtration performance.
