Optical Color Sorters Utilize State-of-the-Art Opto-Electronic Technologies

February 10, 2014

Bratney Companies, a leading innovator in seed and grain handling equipment, has added Cimbria SEA color sorters to its line of products. Cimbria SEA’s optical sorters, which come in a variety of models and configurations, utilize state-of-the-art opto-electronic technologies to provide high accuracy, ensuring product purity. These color sorters allow for an optical resolution of 0.1 mm, not only enabling them to detect even the subtlest differences in color and shade as they separate weed seeds and foreign material, but can also detect very minor infractions or blemishes in the seed that may impact its ability to germinate or perform. Throughput capacities range from 1000 lb/hr up to 1000 bushels/hr on a single machine. All sorters are backed by local and factory support, not only during start up and installation, but as an ongoing service. Cimbria SEA offers monochromatic, double-camera and trichromatic configurations, as well as the latest technologies in visibility, NIR and InGaAs frequencies, and LED RGB broad-spectrum lighting.
