Surface Area Analyzers
SA-9600 surface area technology brings convenience to surface area and pore-volume analysis. Single-point surface area, multi-point surface area, and total pore volume measurements can be performed with push-button ease. Use of the flowing-gas method and a modified BET equation provide a high degree of sensitivity and fast sample analysis. Multiple sample stations can be combined with the flowing-gas technique to deliver three simultaneous sample measurements and up to 90 measurements per hour in single-point mode. The multi-point capability allows complete analysis of the adsorption isotherm and total pore volume, while providing accuracy comparable to more-expensive, less-efficient static-volumetric systems.

Three-Way Wye Line Diverter
The patent-pending Quantum series 3-Way Wye Line Diverter is specifically engineered to handle dry bulk solids in pneumatic conveying systems with vacuum or positive pressures up to 15 psig. Precision laser cutting and bending technology is utilized to manufacture this valve. It provides a number of advantages over traditional flapper and rotating tunnel–style diverters and eliminates trouble spots inherent in these conventional diverters.

Electric Rotary Actuator
The SM-6000 S2 electric rotary actuator can be used for a wide range of heavy-duty powder and bulk material–handling applications. It provides high speeds and high torque for continuous modulating duty. It offers precise positioning accuracy and can operate well in harsh and rugged environments. The unit includes a technically advanced, internally mounted digital amplifier that is easily programmed via nonintrusive rotary switches and a vacuum fluorescent display on the front of the unit. Standard features include an operating temperature of -40°to 185°F, automatic torque limiting, and a watertight, doubled-sealed enclosure with a separately sealed terminal compartment designed for hostile environments. Several options are also available, including an extended temperature range to 225°F, faster speeds, and precise contactless feedback.

Air Jet Sieve
The Air Jet sieve utilizes a dynamic sifting principle that enhances the accuracy and reproducibility of particle-size analysis. While negative pressure draws all the particles below a defined particle size down through a screen, positive airflow is introduced upward through a rotating wand. This airflow deagglomerates and disperses any undersized particles. Precise particle size can be quickly determined at sizes from 20 to 4750 µm. Use of this device has become a preferred method for such tasks as quality assurance of incoming raw materials and the confirmation of final product specifications.

Jet Sieve
Ideal for small volumes and test applications, the MLS 200 jet sieve uses standard 8-in. sieves, prevents inaccurate results due to screen blinding, and dedusts statically bound fines. Used for all dry materials from 20 to 1000 µm, the unit works well with electrostatic materials and on products that are predisposed to blinding. It can analyze sample quantities between 1 and 200 g. The sample material is put on an appropriate-sized screen, and then the proper screening duration is selected on the timer switch and the start button is pressed. With the use of a vacuum cleaner, the material is pulled through the screen by negative pressure. Simultaneously, the screen is cleaned by the air knife with the use of positive air pressure from under the screen. Both the negative and positive pressure is adjusted with the use of a control dial.

Dust Analyzer
The fundamental principle used by the FineAlyzer is based on the condition that unwanted dust and fines will normally adhere to larger pellets and can be removed by rinsing the test sample with a liquid (preferably demineralized water). This causes the fines and dust in the sample to wash away to the beaker below. These particles are then poured into the filter collection unit, which separates the fines from the water. The weight of the filter paper is accurately measured before and after the collection process and this weight is used to calculate the ppm of the sample. Wet analysis quantifies the amounts of dust with particle sizes from 1.6 to 500 µm.

Pulse-Jet Controller
The IntelliPulse pulse-jet controller for baghouses and dust collectors reduces energy costs and offers direct connection to most PLCs with user-specified field bus communications such as DeviceNet, Ethernet, Modbus, and Profibus. The intelligent pulse-cleaning control technology minimizes compressed air use during filter cleaning, which reduces energy consumption. No tuning is required. Compressed air energy savings up to 90% over continuous pulse-cleaning methods, and up to 40% over pulse-on-demand methods are possible. Compact DIN rail packaging makes for easy mounting and field service.
