Simple Support-Frame Bulk Bag Discharger
This simple Type 1 support-frame bulk bag discharger supports the weight of the bag for safe, secure, and controlled discharge of free-flowing product. It accommodates most types and sizes of bulk bags (FIBCs) and can easily be controlled by a single operator. The product discharged must flow freely without generating dust and without the use of flow aids. Choke feeding is the usual way to control the discharge of the bulk bag contents into the conveyor or collection hopper. The robust discharger is constructed of either epoxy-painted carbon steel or stainless steel, depending on customer requirements.

Bulk Bag Discharger with Load Cells
This bulk bag discharger can be programmed for batch or continuous operation directly from the bulk bag while reducing human involvement, providing safe and efficient operation. For consistency, the entire system is mounted on load cells to accurately resolve product batch weights to ±0.5% error of accuracy. This feature allows batch delivery to occur at controlled rates using bulk and dribble methodology and without over-feeding. The proven agitator hopper design draws material away from the sides of the surge hopper, directing it through its center discharge and eliminating material bridging or rat holing. This results in consistent and reliable material supply to the screw conveyor. The screw conveyor is designed to handle non-free-flowing materials and has controls that receive loss-in-weight information from the bulk bag discharger’s load cells.

Valve Bag Fillers
Model 2010 Plug Stack Air Packer valve bag fillers are designed for high bagging rates of dry abrasive products that would cause excessive wear to in-feed valves of other filler designs. These are single spout units that can be installed side by side for 2-, 3-, and 4-spout applications. Filling rates per spout of 4 to 12 bags per minute and accuracies of ±6 oz are achieved depending on product characteristics. Filled bag weights can range from 20 to 110 lb. Standard features include scale-beam weighing, air-operated bag clamps, a dust hood and manifold, and all-pneumatic controls for low-maintenance operation. Available options include load cell weighing, a bag-in-place switch with an automatic fill start, and automatic bag discharge and operator decks.

Bulk Bag Fillers
These bulk bag fillers combine flexibility and economy with numerous customizing options. Custom features include bag inflation, electronic scales, adjustable-height loop support arms, integral dust collection, and bag compaction. Standard units feature a rugged, heavy-duty carbon-steel box frame, a round 10-in. Flexible Bag Palletizer
The Paletpac palletizing system is designed for high-capacity applications. With a package height of up to 2400 mm, the high-throughput, flexible, and safe unit handles pallets of all conventional sizes and in all required packing patterns. Adjustment of variable bag and pallet sizes can be done by quickly setting parameters. In addition, spillage collection and disposal systems can be installed on the high-stack palletizer. Thanks to a newly developed clamp turning device, the filled bags are quickly placed in the required packing pattern. In that way, the unit has capacities of up to 2500 bags/hr, depending on the bag size and packing pattern. High-capacity palletizers that can handle up to 4800 bags/hr with the aid of a bar turning device are also available.

Compact Bottom-Load Case Packer
Initially designed for the dairy industry, this state-of-the-art VCP-20 bottom-load case packer is ideal for applications in which a small footprint and gentle product handling are needed. It can be designed to pack cases ranging in size from 7 to 24 in. long and 4 to 18 in. wide. Servo-controlled motion provides smooth, accurate handling of product and cases. The system’s small size enables it to work well with lower-rate applications of up to 20 cases/min., depending on the case size and pack pattern. As conveyed product reaches the unit, a servo mechanism pushes product from the conveyor to construct a pack pattern that is then loaded into a waiting case. Simultaneously, the unit selects and erects cases and then folds and seals flaps.

Bulk-Bag-to-Bin Weigh Batching System
This dust-free bulk bag weigh batching system discharges material from bulk bags, delumps the product, and feeds it gravimetrically into rigid bins. It features a manual spout-lock clamp ring at the top of a pneumatically actuated Tele-Tube telescoping tube. This feature provides a high-integrity sealed connection between the clean side of the bag spout and the clean side of the hopper and automatically elongates the bag as it empties to promote flow and evacuation. Above the connection point is a Power-Cincher pneumatically actuated flow control valve that cinches the bag spout concentrically, allowing dust-free retying of partially empty bags. Flow-Flexer bag activators raise and lower opposite bottom edges of the bag, promoting material flow into the bag-discharge spout. A low-profile delumping device breaks up agglomerates and discharges them into a gravimetric feeder connected via a PLC to a floor scale, allowing material with accurate batch weights to be loaded into rigid totes placed on the scale.

Pallet Dispenser
The Model 601 pallet dispenser has a side-clamp design that grips and lifts the entire stack to allow the bottom pallet to feed independently from the stack to the palletizing station. This design allows the dispenser to run pallets with protruding nails or loose boards, while minimizing further pallet damage and eliminating handling concerns during warehousing and shipping. Offering versatility, this unit operates with any packaging machine that requires automatic pallet feeding, including case, bag, and robotic palletizers; large tote; and super-sack fillers. It can also operate as an empty pallet stacker/accumulator at the outfeed of case or bulk depalletizers. It is designed to fit all palletizer and depalletizer styles and is equipped with a chain pallet feed conveyor. (A roller conveyor is also available.)
